About me

My name is Christopher Crebbin and I paint under my Aboriginal name "Burthurmarr",meaning Brolga and native companion. I have an Australian father and an Aboriginal mother. I am proud of both my parents and where they come from. My Dad is a born and bred Brisbane boy and my Mum is a Palm Island girl. Our family has been forever affected as part of the Stolen Generation.
I have been painting since I was a child and just love creating artworks that tell a story and make people think, feel, laugh and cry. I am a very lucky man and spend my time at home in Adelaide. I live my life collecting experiences and sharing my thoughts and art with the world.
For a large part of my life I have spent time travelling around this world of ours. I feel glad to have meet so many people from different cultures and backgrounds and try to be accepting of people and their differences.
